Dominican Vince Airports with record traffic numbers

VINCI Airports, the parent company of Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (AERODOM), is the world's leading operator of private airports, with a network of more than 70 air terminals in 13 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and America.

Aerodom said in a statement that it ended last year transporting six million and 584 thousand passengers, with a growth of more than 10.4 percent compared to 2022.

The company also reported that it handled more than 193 million pounds of cargo, surpassing last year's record. It confirmed its leadership in this sector.

In line with VINCI Airports' commitment to promoting positive mobility and expanding the destination network, AERODOM has included new routes for passengers, including to Santiago de Chile.

It will also fly to Toronto and Montreal, Canada. Buenos Aires, Argentina; Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Providence, United States, from Las Americas International Airport (AILA).

And also to San Juan, Puerto Rico, from Gregorio Luperón International Terminal, in Puerto Plata. In addition, flights to many destinations located at different airports have been increased.

In terms of air freight, AILA continues to be the bulk carrier of the highest volume of weight in this country, with increased frequencies in 2023 for several airlines.

Monica Infante Henriquez, CEO of AERODOM, noted that thanks to its strategic location, AILA has dedicated cargo flights to/from Miami, Bogotá, Quito, Puerto Rico, Panama and Jamaica.

He pointed out that this station has a strong infrastructure dedicated to freight activities, which integrates all the actors and services necessary for the air transport of goods.
