China announces military exercises near Taiwan after Tsai’s visit to the United States

The Taiwanese leader, who stopped in California upon returning from an official trip to Central America, delivered a speech Thursday at a symposium organized by the Hudson Institute, which awarded her a global leadership award, as well as a meeting with US lawmakers at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
