United Kingdom: Peel Ports expands with acquisition of HES Humber Bulk Terminal

Peel Ports Group announced the acquisition HES Humber Bulk Terminalthus expanding its presence on the east coast of the United Kingdom.

The acquisition means that Peel Ports now operates eight sites in the UK and Ireland, with Ports of Liverpool, Hesham, Manchester Ship Canal, London Medway, Clydeport, Great Yarmouth and a container terminal in Dublin.

The new bulk terminal, located on the south bank of the Humber Estuary, will be operated by Peel Ports Logistics, Inc. A division of Peel Ports Group that specializes in One-Stop-Shop logistics solutions.

This acquisition marks Peel Ports Logistics’ third presence in the UK and first on the East Coast. Its other operations are located to the northwest, at the port of Runcorn and Ellesmere, respectively.

The open storage terminal has a capacity of 6,200 square meters and a covered facility of 275,000 cubic metres. With an automated conveyor-fed import and export system, the terminal provides handling and storage of a variety of dry casting products.
