The Faculty of Exact Sciences of the University of Juárez, Durango, hosted the 26th Winter School in Educational Mathematics, an event that took place from December 5 to 8. During this meeting, various topics were discussed, including the new Mexican school. Armando Mata Romero, Director of the Faculty of Exact Sciences (FACE), commented: “It is a national event attended by representatives of various institutions in the country. The aim is to exchange experiences in the field of educational mathematics, and to explore new trends, materials and research. But above all, the focus was “The main focus on the New Mexican School in relation to the field of mathematics.”
The topic focused on the New Mexican School and focused on how to approach the contents, especially in mathematics. During the event, workshops, two general conferences, workshops and laboratories were held.
This school is very popular among graduate students in educational mathematics, as the college holds a master’s degree in this field. In addition, a poster exhibition was held with the participation of approximately 80 exhibitors, including the institution’s students.
“It was very important for the College to host this meeting of the Network of Mathematics Educational Institutions, which the Foundation has just joined,” concluded Mata Romero. “The aim of this network is to address the problem of mathematics teaching in the country.” .
