Opening the world of underwater photography


Havana.- nineteenth The Varadero World Underwater Photography Championship 2023 opened today with representatives from 20 countries in attendance.

The national team consists of captain Carlos Otero from Havana, Fabian Alvarez from Camagüey, and Julio Ruiz from Matanzas, in addition to two models.

The competition is organized by the World Confederation for Underwater Activities (CMAS), with support from the travel agency Ecotur and technical assistance from Marlins Marina.

According to experts, this is considered one of the most important meetings in this sector, as it has been held since 1940, and photographic evidence has been added to it since 2010.
