MINI UK is delighted to announce Alan Carr as the face of its ongoing partnership with the UK’s largest canine charity, Dogs Trust. Passionate about both man’s best friend and MINI, Alan was considered the perfect person to lead the association and highlight MINI’s efforts to put puppies first.
To celebrate the announcement, Alan has co-starred in a series of comedy skits with Alan the collie cross poodle, also known as ‘The Real Star’, who has been announced as MINI’s new ambassador dog. With texts by Giles Bowen, who have won acclaim for some of Alan’s most famous performances including “Chatty Man,” Alan the Dog (Car) instructs why MINI is consistently voted the number one car manufacturer for dogs and dog owners alike.

On choosing to work with MINI, Alan Carr said: “I love dogs and always drive a MINI. They always love to jump in the back ready for a walk, if they like my drive that’s another thing!” So I took the opportunity to support MINI’s partnership with Dogs Trust. It made a lot of sense !

Born out of the entire MINI team’s passion for dogs, the association was first launched in August 2021 with the goal of becoming the first official dog-friendly car brand by the end of 2022. Less than a year after the completion of the Dog-Friendly Workplaces – rigorous training program developed from Ahead of the Dogs Trust dog behavior experts – MINI retailers across the country have achieved Gold approval, becoming the first dog-friendly, Dogs Trust-approved car retailers.

Besides, the brand helps owners choose their next vehicle with their four-legged friend in mind with guidance on what makes a vehicle dog-friendly.
