The diplomat noted that although the first three rounds of negotiations have already been implemented, there will be a pause next year due to political issues, as both countries face electoral cycles.

Ambassador John Benjamin stressed, “Once the next administrations are inaugurated in both countries, we are excited to resume the process and reach a successful outcome, perhaps by 2025.”
