He also praised the results achieved by the Southeast Asian bloc and China in recent years, particularly the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Framework for Peace, Security, Prosperity and Sustainable Development.

However, he cautioned that in the current context of complex and unpredictable developments in the world and the region, and with the global economy continuing to be affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, both parties need to enhance cooperation to respond to challenges and promote sustainability together. Post-pandemic recovery.

In this regard, he stressed the need to take advantage of the opportunities of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement, in order to promote bilateral trade so that it develops in a balanced and sustainable manner.

For 13 consecutive years, China has been listed as ASEAN’s largest trading partner, with the stock exchange last year exceeding $669 billion to set a record.
