Investing.com – British shares fell at the close on Thursday; Sector decline, pushing indicators down.

They are followed by Smith & Nephew PLC (LON :), which advanced 1.00%, 14.00 points to close at 1409.50, and national network PLC (LON :), which rose 0.98% or 9.50 points, ended the session at 978.30.

Gold futures for December delivery were down 0.08%, or 1.45, to $1,782.95 an ounce. Regarding other commodities, crude oil futures for October delivery fell 3.31%, or $2.16, to settle at $63.05 a barrel, while Brent crude futures for October delivery fell 3.11%, or $2.12, to $66.11 a barrel.

GBP/USD fell 0.66% to 1.3664, while EUR/GBP rose 0.50% to 0.8554.

The dollar index rose 0.35% to 93.472.
