The President of Colombia calls for the strengthening of the people’s economy

BOGOTA, March 29 (Prensa Latina) Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro has called for the promotion of small and medium-sized businesses that belong to the grassroots economy, as the government’s website highlights today.

During the presentation of the first Zasca remanufacturing center at the Juan Bosco Obrero Foundation in Ciudad Bolívar, the head of state urged the formation of the first network of young zascas dedicated to software and programming engineering to later link this to the grassroots economy throughout the site.

He explained that Zasca, in the Muisca language, means work, which is why he reiterated that wealth comes from work, but that work in the 21st century does not consist in lengthening working hours but intensifying them through knowledge and technology.

In his speech, the head of state noted that in Bogotá there is already an infrastructure, which is even of the latest technology, where young people can acquire knowledge that will allow them to be integrated into the popular economy, which will lead to a “virtuous process of enriching society”.

Petro suggested that young people in this community get close to new technologies, audiovisual production and software production, because in Ciudad Bolívar this connection is vital, because that can radiate completely, productivity explodes, and thus wealth grows.

He also suggested the need for the help of the Salesian community to change these tiles for solar panels. We didn’t know much at the sheriff’s office, but the cost is coming down and selling with the “Made with Clean Energy” brand.
