The 3 best Netflix series to watch in June 2023

From superheroes to superbikes, these are the best Netflix series streaming right now

With no signs of slowing down in new releases, Netflix has been one of the most consistent streaming services for original series throughout 2023. If not the world’s obsession with the psychological thriller You, it’s the scandal-filled Briderton spin-off of Queen Charlotte, or even the first series starring Arnold. Schwarzenegger. Netflix has it all.

The daily dilemma is deciding what to see in the midst of this abundance. Yes, we can re-watch It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia again or do the unthinkable… and try something new. Well, every month T3 Latam reviews what’s new, what’s worth talking about, and most importantly, what’s worth seeing. It can be anything from critical favorites to online hits to smaller series that resonate with us for any reason.

One thing to note before we jump into our top picks for the month is that this roundup is designed for Netflix subscribers in the UK, however many of these shows can be found all around the world. All Netflix original series, for example, are available in all regions, but if that’s not the case, there’s always the option to use a VPN and start streaming. It’s also useful when you’re out and about, for example if you want to catch up on a series at home. With that out of the way, let’s move on to the best new shows to watch on Netflix in June 2023.

Tour de France: at the heart of the team

21 stages. 23 days. 198 cyclists. Celebrated for more than a century, the Tour de France is cycling’s most prestigious event. Netflix has now gained exclusive behind-the-scenes access to cycling’s toughest race, from the riders to the team managers and everyone in between. It will be a great glimpse into the 2022 event, as you will see how the competitors prepare from the days leading up to the final stage in Paris, France. Sports documentaries have popped up on Netflix in recent years (The Last Dance is a must) and the Tour de France: in the heart of the peloton there seems to be a lot to talk about.

Titans – Season 4

The quality of Titanes has, to say the least, been questioned from season to season. However, there is something about the superhero series that has captivated us from day one. Whether you were watching Nightwing played by the lovable Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop’s performance in Starfire, or the friendship between Raven and Beast Boy, there was always something that helped us stay on the journey. Despite a few writing errors, the action also proves to be pretty smooth from time to time, featuring a rogue gallery of DC villains (many of Batman’s enemies).

Now in its fourth and final season, Titans meets the gang back in San Francisco, only to be distracted by a supernatural cult in Metropolis. Considering the number of cancellations that happen regularly, it’s great that the Giants could end the business on their own terms.

Titans Season 4 will be available on Netflix starting June 25, 2023.

Black Mirror – Season 6

One of the best decisions Netflix ever made was acquiring the Channel 4 rights to the British anthology series Black Mirror. Whenever new episodes are released on the streaming service, it’s great to dive into whatever dystopian creation its creator, Charlie Brooker, created during the time he was away (four years this time!).

Often dealing with the misguided themes of technology, each episode is a standalone and features the big names in all five episodes of Season 6, including Aaron Paul, Annie Murphy, Hamish Patel, Josh Hartnett, Cata Mara, Michael Cera, Rob Delaney, Rory Culkin, Salma Hayek-Pinault and Zazie Beetz. This is without a doubt one of the most anticipated shows of the year and it’s always best to go blind for maximum effect. Mind you, be sure to break up the incredibly dark looks with some sunshine and fresh air.
