The United Kingdom and Ireland’s bid to host the 2028 European Championship is the only bid that has not yet survived, after Turkey withdrew from the process to focus its efforts on the 2028 tournament, which it hopes to host alongside Italy.

The United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and Ireland have already withdrawn their candidacy for the 2030 World Cup to focus on the European Cup, the third to be held on English soil, after the 1996 Cup (which was held entirely in England). ) and the 2020 version, which was shown in several countries in Europe.

(Birmingham), Hampden Park (Glasgow), Aviva Stadium (Dublin) and Casement Park (Belfast).

One of the big uncertainties regarding this nomination is which teams will automatically enter the tournament, because according to UEFA guidelines, only two hosts can qualify directly.
