Sargent and Carter Vickers hope to play for the USA national team in Qatar | Sports

Striker Josh Sargent and defender Cameron Carter Vickers returned to the starting line-up for their two clubs last weekend before American coach Greg Berhalter announced their squad for the World Cup in Qatar.

Sargent, 22, played in the English second tier in Norwich against Rotherham after missing two games with a calf injury. Sargent has scored eight goals for Norwich this season.

Carter Vickers, 24, played for Celtic Glasgow against Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League. He did not play the Champions League match against Real Madrid on Wednesday due to muscle pain. Last weekend, he played the full 90 minutes against Livingston, who owns a synthetic floor.
