Popular referendum on family law: Cienfuegos has already voted

It’s Sunday, a day in Cuba dedicated to sharing with family.

Some stay at home. Others often visit grandparents or other relatives; Little kids love to go to the park, beach, walk…

it’s sunday; But on Sunday with special revelations. There will be picnics and visits and will be shared with the family; But we are also part of the great day of the Fatherland, for our beloved Cuba.

Since 7 am, electoral bodies have been activated across the country. In 754 of Cienfuegos, from so early on, the details were finalized and the people were already coming in very early to cast their votes; This is, in the words of Cuba’s national hero, José Martí: “(…) It is a duty more sensitive than any other.”.

Family Law Path

And yes, very sensitive is what brings us together on this Sunday of September 25th. As the great family, we have attended the legislative referendum in support of the Family Lawa law with a lot of popular wisdom, because even in the family – whatever its composition – analyzes are made and the best decisions are made.

Teens who will vote for the first time. What a chance! They begin to take responsibility as electors, nothing more and nothing less than accepting a slate, whose chief claim is to give us rights, as well as duties, but above all to define the path of love, respect and affection.

Young people, with their present and their future, also have reasons to go vote; Parents, grandparents and even children who are the best guardians of our jars. Endless arguments help us in pursuit of a blog that will make us a more inclusive community, where people can feel supported, without having to use their skin color, family origins, or sexual preference. Only the human condition is sufficient to know that one has the right to a dignified life.

I have no doubts. It’s a really great day and people will know how to live it, enjoy it and absorb it for today and above all for tomorrow.
