Meeting with the Council of Economic Sciences

In order to discuss the specific needs of professionals in economic sciences in the county, a team from the Ministry of Labor, Planning and Human Resources met with authorities from the Economic Sciences Council.

During the meeting, a consensus was reached on the necessary procedures to advance the digital mechanisms of the offers to be submitted to the Regional Directorate of Labor Inspection. In addition, they requested an extension of the period for the presentation of moving papers for the months of September and October. Finally, they demanded a review of the system of penalties for non-appearance.

Minister Syria raised the need to formulate joint measures to improve work procedures for taxpayers, as the Ministry of Labor, Planning and Human Resources asked the Council of Economic Sciences to submit proposals to be submitted to the Federal Labor Council, which will take place in the next few days.

In addition, they were able to discuss the latest announcements regarding salary increases for the regional public administration and the health sector. In this sense, a simulation of the effect of the said increases on workers’ wages from 1 September has been shown. Minister Syria stressed: “The ministry’s mission is to create spaces for exchange and dialogue with institutions and unions, and in this sense we see very positively the ability to jointly advance in sustainable actions over time.”
