MEXICO CITY: The President of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, revealed today that he has instructed Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard to insist in Washington that a Summit of the Americas be held without exception.
In response to a question in this regard in his morning press conference at the National Palace, the President responded in this way to the White House’s announcement to exclude Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua from the summit meeting in Los Angeles, California, despite his request otherwise. .
Lopez Obrador asked not to anticipate events and wait for the efforts of his advisor, who will deal with other issues related to the summit and bilateral relations.
