Iran rejects any proposal to change the nuclear deal – Prensa Latina

“What was signed on July 14, 2015 is not subject to change,” he said.

In a speech to the Executive Authority, Rouhani stressed that Tehran has never sought to obtain weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons, and will not do so in the future.

He also specified that there would be no negotiations with the United States and Europe over the missile defense program or their regional influence.

Europe should know that no other case can be submitted to the Center (…). And he stressed that they either accept the charter as it is or reject it!

Thus, Rouhani reacted to hints from the European signatories to the agreement, including France, and the new US government, headed by Joe Biden, about including the Iranian defense program in the nuclear deal.

The United States abandoned the agreement in May 2018, reinstated punitive measures on the Islamic Republic and tried to thwart the agreement.

Meanwhile, Tehran complied with the conditions and within a year it responded to Washington’s illegal move to reduce its nuclear commitments, noting the indifference of the United Kingdom, France and Germany to the White House position.

However, the Iranian authorities approved that if the northern country lifted the sanctions, it would revert to what was agreed upon in the original CPA.
