Although the Luther series is not very well known in our country, the fact is that it has a very good reputation in the United Kingdom and the United States. This BBC production starred Idris Elba and had 5 seasons, ending in 2019. Now, almost 4 years after his last appearance as John Luther, Elba puts himself in the detective’s shoes again to star in Luther: Night Falls. These are the keys to this long awaited comeback.
When does Luther: Night Falls release and on what platform?
Luther: Night Falls was released last month in select theaters. But the movie only ran for two weeks. Luckily, it’s a Netflix production. As with Glass Onion, it will be available on the platform shortly after its release. We can see it on Netflix from March 10th.

In February of this year, the first trailer for Luther was released, and from what is shown in it, the movie will present an updated version of the series, with a much larger budget. The trailer gives us a nice peek at the villain, played by Andy Serkis.and also reveals that Luther will be leaving London to visit other locations.

Will it be the beginning of a new Luthor saga?
Even though Nightfall is supposed to shut down the Luther franchise, It’s possible that Netflix may be considering producing a new epic of films starring Idris Elba’s character. The streaming service hasn’t commented yet, but if the viewing numbers are good, it wouldn’t be surprising if we end up seeing the detective in other adventures.
