Although the Luther series is not very well known in our country, the fact is that it has a very good reputation in the United Kingdom and the United States. This BBC production starred Idris Elba and had 5 seasons, ending in 2019. Now, almost 4 years after his last appearance as John Luther, Elba puts himself in the detective’s shoes again to star in Luther: Night Falls. These are the keys to this long awaited comeback.

The trailer gives us a nice peek at the villain, played by Andy Serkis.and also reveals that Luther will be leaving London to visit other locations.

Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber-psychopath now harassing him, Luthor decides to escape from prison to finish the job by any means necessary.

Even though Nightfall is supposed to shut down the Luther franchise, It’s possible that Netflix may be considering producing a new epic of films starring Idris Elba’s character. The streaming service hasn’t commented yet, but if the viewing numbers are good, it wouldn’t be surprising if we end up seeing the detective in other adventures.
