Morelia, Michigan. – A clothesline bully installed at the University of Michoacana School of Medicine in San Nicolás de Hidalgo (UMSNH) shows teachers these practices against students.

Organized by the Medical Association to join the activities of International Working Women’s Day, on March 8, the clothesline displays the names of some teachers in anonymous complaints, although in some cases they refer to acts of harassment.

“Dr. Vega is a sexual harasser. Be careful,” one card reads. Another says: “Stop justifying yourself by saying you’re under the influence of alcohol.” “Dr. Carlos G. Nava makes unnecessary comments during class.”

According to a number of students on campus, the administration staff tried to remove the clothesline yesterday, although they were prevented from consulting the complaints, and even took pictures of them to post on their networks.

The Michoacan Women’s Association, during yesterday’s rally that left Ciudad Universitaria, denounced that harassment is a constant practice in the university’s classrooms, and for this reason they demanded that Rector Yarabí vila address the issues and punish those responsible.
