Eddie Martinez presents his “comeback” at the Institute of Legal Sciences

Painter and engraver Eddie Martinez presents his new exhibition “Retorno”, made up of 27 figurative and graphic works, starting August 25 in the cultural space of the Institute of Legal Sciences (ICJO), reports Arte Relieve gallery, curator and organizer. from the sample.

The exhibition added that the exhibition allows the works of this artist, born in 1963, to be admired in Oaxaca ten years later, as his last solo exhibition was in the capital of Oaxaca in 2013. The exhibition added that on this occasion, the exhibition of Maestro Martinez will be displayed in the cultural space of the ICJO organization, which was created in 2015 with the aim of promoting comprehensive education for students, and in whose headquarters various exhibitions of art, culture and history are held. The exhibition indicated that this sample includes 13 graphic works and 14 drawings using different techniques. Of the paintings, five are in oil, and another six are in acrylic, as well as gouache on paper.

With a force as great as that of his contemporaries Maximino Javier or Philemon Santiago, the pictorial and graphic output of Eddie Martínez is waiting to be brought together in a major retrospective at venues such as the Museum of Painters of Oaxacan or the Museum of Contemporary Art in Oaxaca.
