Juan Caro, a teacher from Cajamarca, wins a scholarship to study in the UK.

It is the twenty-third scholarship awarded through the Cajamarca Scholarship Program and the second awarded through the alliance between the UK Embassy and Newmont ALAC.

Juan Caro, a prominent teacher in Cajamarca, has been awarded a valuable scholarship to pursue Masters studies in Educational Leadership and Management at the University of Exeter in London, UK.

It is the twenty-third scholarship awarded through the Cajamarca Scholarship Program and the second awarded through the alliance between the UK Embassy and Newmont ALAC.

On this occasion, Juan Caro will complete his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management at the University of Exeter in London, United Kingdom. Upon his return to the country, just as the 22 scholarship recipients did, he will apply the innovative ideas gained in their fields of work, in his case his social enterprise Educanet which contributes to enhancing the capacity of teachers and his A+ study center for English language skills.

“Education is the fundamental axis that governs society and is a commitment to the individual, society and the world,” expressed Juan Caro enthusiastically.

With this opportunity, the Cajamarca teacher fulfills his dream of obtaining a master’s degree at one of the best universities in the world.

The agreement between the British Embassy and Newmont ALAC has also been renewed, ensuring the continuity of this valuable opportunity for more Cajamarca residents in the future.

The call for the 2024/2025 period is open from 12 September to 17 November. Requirements will be posted through the PROBECA Facebook page.
