When is Makoto Shinkai’s new movie “Suzume” premiere in Mexico?

“Suzume” or “Suzume no Tojimari” by the great Makoto Shinkai, already has a release date in theaters in Mexico, Brazil, the United States and other regions. The film will be distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment.

This upcoming anime follows Suzume, a 17-year-old girl who, along with a mysterious man, tries to prevent a series of disasters across Japan. according to CrunchyrollSuzume’s Adventure is “a glimmer of hope that falls on our struggles against the hardest ways of anxieties and limitations that make up everyday life.”

The premiere date of “Suzume” in Mexico will be April 13, 2023. On the same day, it will arrive in Brazil, Germany and Australia. On April 14, it opened in theaters in the United States and Canada, as well as European territories such as the United Kingdom, Belgium, Austria, and Ireland.

The film opened in Japan in November, and as of this writing, the film has collected nearly 8 billion yen (about $55 million USD). “Suzume” in particular was praised by Asian critics for its mature story, story, animation, and characters, but cautioned that the ending could be divisive.

The vocal group “Suzume” is composed by Nanoka Hara. SixTONES singer Hokuto Matsumara (“Liar × Liar”); Eri Fukatsu (“The Villain”); Kana Hanazawa (“Tokyo Ghoul”), among others. In addition, Makoto Shinkai has collaborated with his acclaimed team of artists: music was provided by Radwimps, character designs are by Masayoshi Tanaka, and animation is directed by Kenichi Tsuchiya.

“Weathering With You,” the previous film by Makoto Shinkai (which, by the way, you can watch at Prime Video) earned over $190 million at the worldwide box office and was Japan’s choice for the Academy Award for Best International Film.
