Accompanied by the first vice president of the Venezuelan United Socialist Party, Diosdado Cabello, the executive vice president, Delcy Rodriguez, and other authorities, the president walked the streets of the community and spoke with people, according to the images broadcast by Venezuela de Televisión.

A tweet from the presidency indicated that the head of state was “inspecting the Las Tijerias region of the state of Aragua, which was hit by the torrential rains that occurred in the last hours.”

10 days ago today, heavy rain caused floods in five rivers, caused a landslide down the mountains, dragged mud, rocks, trees and everything in its path, and caused 54 deaths and others are still missing, according to the latest data.

Official data indicated that about 800 homes were damaged, half of which were completely demolished, and the rest suffered various damages.

This Monday, President Nicolas Maduro stated on his Twitter account that the executive branch “ensures comprehensive care for families affected by the rains”, while promoting the training of new generations to build a new society.

The People’s Energy Minister for Food, Carlos Leal, reports that the Food Mission is spread across 23 sectors in Las Tejerías, where they provide comprehensive care for the community.

He noted that within six days the national government distributed about 450 tons of food to the affected families, reported by the Venezuelan News Agency.

A press release issued by the Vice President of the Republic stated that eight feeding houses and six field kitchens have been installed in the area, which are working with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, to ensure breakfast, lunch and dinner.
