Investing.com – British stocks closed lower on Wednesday; Declines in the sectors led to lower indices.

The GBP/USD rose 0.49% to 1.24, while the EUR/GBP was unchanged, adding 0.14% to 0.88.

The dollar index fell 0.22% to 101.46.
