The seventh edition of La Rioja Bike Race will gather 600 participants

The Rioja Cycling will kick off again next Friday with a renewed Tour with the champions Montes de Zenzano. As new, there will be three marathon stages (XCM) through La Rioja that pass through legendary sections such as the Beautiful Track, the Roman Route, Monte de Clavijo or the Trevijano District, the legendary points of competition.

In addition, this version will feature many new paths such as the descent of Zorro, the new and technical path of La Gargantilla or the path of forgiveness. An active road with a variety of tracks where 197 kilometers will be traveled with 5,100 meters of accumulated unevenness.

All departures and arrivals will be in the nerve center of the Palacio de los Deportes de La Rioja as has been the case in all of its editions. An area that allows the guarantee of all security measures, capacity and regulatory distances.

600 participants from 9 countries

“From the organization, we are very pleased to return to the activity in La Rioja with 600 participants, and we hope to restore attendance figures before the outbreak of the epidemic. This year it is time to take responsibility and keep the participation numbers in line,” explains Aitor Jiménez, Events Director at Octagon Esedos – the organizing company -.

The countries represented on this occasion are Spain with a clear majority, followed by France, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Cyprus, the United States and Mexico.
The most represented national communities are Barcelona, ​​Bizkaia, Guipuzcoa, La Rioja, Madrid, and Zaragoza.

In addition, on Saturday 26 June, in conjunction with the second stage of the La Rioja Bicycle Race presented by Pirelli, the second edition of the La Rioja eBike Ride will be held, an electric bike experience where the competition ambassador and former professional cyclist will attend.
