The French far right is a candidate in the European elections

According to the poll conducted by the French Institute of Public Opinion (IFOP) for the weekly newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche, the list headed by European Parliament member Jordan Bardella improved by one point compared to the poll three weeks ago, which confirms the favoritism of the nationalists in other polls. Regarding the appointment of members of the European Parliament.

In second place came the official bloc, led by the ruling Ennahda Force, led by Valerie Haire, which received 19 percent of the votes, also by one point. The third place was achieved by the left-wing Socialist Party – Public Square group, led by Raphael Glucksmann, with nine percent, or less than 10.5, at the beginning of February.

Overall, left-wing parties have about 30 percent support, but unlike the 2022 French legislative elections, these parties were unable to compete this time with a single slate of socialists, environmental activists, rebels and communists.

As in other European countries, different sectors are concerned about the rise of specific political organizations within the far right, which in France collect the final votes of about four out of ten voters.

In addition to the lead of the National Front, the party founded by Marine Le Pen, the Recovery Party is marching with six percent support, led by the controversial Eric Zemmour and with Marion Marechal at the top of the list.
