The Camaguey PhD program in Economic Sciences reaches the category of Excellence

CAMAGÜEY. PhD program in economic sciences from the Faculty of Economics in University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Luinas, reached the Superior Excellence Class, after a rigorous evaluation of National Accreditation Council (January) which took into account the ten-year period of operation of this learning system.

As explained by Dr. Science Nestor Alberto Loredo Carballo, Program Director and the Center for Studies in Business and Regional Administration (CEDET), the experts took into account developments in the doctoral preparation structures, through teaching and research components, holding seminars and workshops without losing sight of the previous programs in economics, local development management and economics By sectors and branches.

The training of 29 doctors in sciences, including 17 in branches of economics, local development management, economics by sectors and branches in 2015-2020 in the provinces of Camaguey, Ciego de Avila, Las Tunas, Holguín, Granma, Santiago de Cuba and Guantánamo. While 36 of the host province, Granma, Las Tunas and two Angolans are in the making.

The teaching staff of the program consists of 34 Doctors of Science, who served as teachers, professors and judges, the majority from Kamagi, and participation of professors from the Universities of Oriente, Granma, Havana, Las Tunas, from the highest school cadres of Havana and the regional delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment.

Loredo Carballo highlighted the constant search for impacts on management processes, whether at the business, sector or local development level, as an important aspect, which was expressed in the direct results of the work performed and in the integration processes in the regions.
