Sawk is a region-exclusive Pokémon available in Pokémon Go. Here we tell you how to get a sock and whether it can be shiny.

Introduced in the fifth generation games, Sawk is Throh's counterpart. Sawk is a Fighting-type creature that does not evolve into any other Pokémon.

Typically, Sawk can only be found in Europe, Asia, and Australia, while Throh can be found in North America, South America, and Africa. The two Pokémon are part of Pokémon Go's roster of region-exclusives, along with other forms such as the different pink Flabébe forms.

However, the Raging Battles event included Sawk and Throh as available wild skins. Below we explain how to catch a Sawk in Pokémon Go.

How to get Sock in Pokemon Go

To have a chance to catch Sawk, you must log into Pokemon Go during the Furious Battles event. This event continues from Friday, January 19, 2024 at 10 a.m. until Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 8 p.m. local time.

During this time, Sawk and Throh appear frequently in the wild, no matter your area. Furious Battles also marks the Pokémon Go debut of Annihilape, the final evolution of Mankey.

Is the shiny version of Sawk available in Pokémon Go?

Yes, Pokémon Go players can catch the shiny version of Sawk. So, you may find one in the wild during the Raging Battles event. You also have a chance to find Throh's Shiny form.
