The Dutch authorities imposed a fine of $884,000 on Tik Tok, assuming that The social network violated the laws on the protection of personal data.
The Dutch Data Protection Authority (CBP) noted that The social network application installation information is written in English, so it was difficult for Dutch children to understand.

The former English commissioner for children sued TikTok in April, accusing the video platform of illegally collecting personal data from millions of children in the UK and Europe.
