Juan Espinosa Luna’s departure will not affect the science center’s meteorological measurements

Culiacán, Sinal. – The Executive Director of the Sinaloa Science Center José María Conde Uraga announced that the departure of Juan Garcia Espinosa Luna, a geophysicist important to the scientific community, will not affect the meteorological activities of the Science Center this year.

“Really, what was accomplished with Dr. García Espinosa Luna is a derivative product of the main job he had with us, and the job he had with us was also supporting us in terms of dissemination of scientific principles related to weather phenomena,” the director explained.

He noted that it was something extracurricular thanks to the tools he had at his disposal in the institution that could provide him with more precision in this regard.

“As part of this job, he, in turn, carried out the task of providing weather forecasts, but in reality this is not one of the functions of the scientific center, he did it in parallel with his responsibilities,” he explained.

Reiterating that there have been no researchers at the Science Center in nearly 10 years, as set forth in the Sinaloa State Science and Technology Act, the Foundation is dedicated to the dissemination and occurrence of science.

It must be remembered that on January 19, the specialist announced that he would no longer work with the Sinaloa Science Center, so he would try to continue his work as much as possible, as he did, with the tools he had at his disposal. Available, the geophysicist is known in the Sinaloan community for his accuracy in weather forecasts.
