Cuba attends the Ibero-American Council of Sports


Havana. – jeslides Sousa, director of international relations at the National Institute for Sport, Physical Education and Recreation (Inder), is involved with the Ibero-American Sports Council (CID) and the American Sports Council (CADE).

Headquarters has a seat in the Dominican Republic, as well as American Sports (CADE), both until the next 28, with representatives from 40 countries.

The directive conveyed a message from the President of Ender, Osvaldo Vento Montellier, in which he presented the experience of the Cuban sports system and the advantages of physical education, with four sports for a class, in developing skills and abilities in girls and boys.

He also referred to the recognition of talents at an early age, exercise and physical culture in general. “All this is thanks to a social system that promotes these issues and allocates large sums of money to it,” he said.

“We provide the Cuban experience to Project Life and are grateful for accompanying UNESCO and the Criminal Investigation Department in the responsibility our country exercises in CIGEPS,” he stressed.

Among the confirmed attendees were the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abenader, and the Ibero-American Secretary General, Chilean Andres Allamand.

Likewise, UNESCO representative in Latin America, Uruguayan Andres Morales, CID President, Costa Rica’s Alba Quesada and CADE representative, Colombian Guillermo Herrera appear.

“Holding these summits strengthens our ties as sister countries,” stressed Francisco Camacho, Minister of Sports of the host country.

“The issues that will be discussed will be of paramount importance to sport in general, and it will be three days of hard work with 40 ministers to ensure that the sport continues to grow at all levels,” he added.

Allemand will speak about sport at the upcoming Summit of Heads of State and Government, while Morales will speak on the Systematic Guide to Development Indicators under the 2030 Agenda.
