China handed over a donation to the Ethiopian Federal Police

ADDIS ABABA, Nov. 29 (Prensa Latina) China today handed over a donation to the Ethiopian Federal Police valued at more than $600,000, the armed forces revealed through a statement.

The donation consists of five Corolla Cross patrol cars, an armored vehicle, a communications system, equipment for a forensic laboratory, as well as other equipment and materials.

Symbolically, the Chinese ambassador to this capital, Zhao Zhiyuan, placed several devices in the hands of the Commissioner General of the Federal Police, Demilash Michael, and emphasized that this gesture results from the strength of the relations between the two countries.

Our government will continue technological support to Ethiopia to take the good bilateral relations to a higher level, Zhao said in a brief protocol ceremony that our government will further promote the initiated change in the structure of the national police.

In the communication, Michael said that the foundation is committed to helping protect the constitutional order and social stability of the nation, for which one of its priorities is to obtain the best technology.

He explained that we have a role in accelerating economic growth, business activity and investment security, which we want to achieve with the efficiency required by this responsibility.

He stressed that we are grateful to the Chinese government for the support it has provided in terms of crime prevention and investigation, transportation security equipment, forensic management strengthening technologies, and human resource capacity building.
