Glaz noted that this measure was taken after restrictive measures were imposed against Belarusian employees, companies, and Belarusian media, among others. In addition, he condemned the withdrawal of visas for Belarusian deputies before the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

As he explained, the “restrictive and illegal measures” taken by the British government “do not currently allow the development of an inclusive dialogue”. But he stressed that withdrawing the ambassador does not mean “closing all channels of communication with London.”
