A Namibian tin producer with a growing lithium story has seen its shares more than double from their 12-month low as fresh financing and drilling results land in quick succession.
Andrada Mining (AIM: ATM) has become one of the more eye-catching moves on AIM this month, with shares climbing to a 52-week high of 6.6p during August and lifting the company's market capitalisation to around £138 million, up sharply from a low of just 2.6p over the preceding year.
The rally has been driven by a cluster of near-simultaneous developments rather than a single catalyst: Andrada confirmed financial close on NAD98 million, roughly £4.4 million, of new debt facilities with Bank Windhoek and the Development Bank of Namibia, completing the funding needed for an ore sorting expansion at its producing Uis mine, just as fresh drilling at its Lithium Ridge project returned some of its strongest intercepts to date.

The Uis expansion is expected to lift annual tin concentrate production by 50-70%, to between 2,500 and 3,000 tonnes, while contained tin output is targeted to rise to 1,500-1,900 tonnes, giving the group a firmer earnings base from its existing operation. At the same time, drilling at Lithium Ridge, 35 kilometres away, returned 35.59 metres at 1.52% Li₂O, including a higher-grade section of 24.08 metres at 2.00% Li₂O, adding weight to the case that the licence hosts a meaningful spodumene discovery.
Andrada's Erongo region portfolio in Namibia now spans tin, tantalum, lithium, tungsten and copper across the producing Uis mine, the Lithium Ridge licence and the Brandberg West exploration ground, the latter being advanced with external funding via ACAM. Management has described the company as reaching an inflection point, with growth capital secured and the near-term focus shifting from financing to execution.
The key test now is delivery: whether the Uis expansion lands the promised production uplift, whether Lithium Ridge's drilling translates into a defined resource alongside partner SQM, and whether Brandberg West progresses on schedule. Investors will be watching for confirmation that August's share price surge marks a durable rerating rather than a short-lived spike in a stock that has been volatile over the past year.
