Adsure Services profit up 23% as flat revenue masks margin gains

The TIAA parent grew profit sharply on flat turnover as it unveils plans to build a cluster of AI-powered professional services firms.

Adsure Services (AIM: ADS), the holding company behind business assurance provider TIAA Limited, has posted a marked jump in profitability for the year to 31 March 2026, even as revenue stayed almost static at £9.97m.

Operating profit rose 18.4% to £1.07m from £0.9m, while pre-tax profit climbed 22.7% to £1.0m and net profit advanced 23% to £0.75m. EBITDA increased 13% to £1.34m, pushing the margin up to 13.4% from 11.8% — the third straight year of margin expansion, a performance the company attributes to a sharper skills mix, targeted hiring and tighter cost control rather than top-line growth.

Chief Financial Officer Sarah Prescott said the margin improvement stemmed from realigning the firm's skills mix, strategic hires, lower direct staff costs and strong client retention, alongside sector-focused business development that has bolstered the orderbook with both one-off and long-term contracts.

Growth in the housing sector — where client numbers have now passed 130 organisations — helped offset softer bid activity in healthcare, explaining why revenue barely moved despite the profit gains. The group also maintained a dividend broadly in line with the prior year, underlining steady cash generation.

Chief Executive Kevin Limn used the results to set out a new strategic direction, aiming to transform Adsure into a cluster of specialist, purpose-driven professional services businesses through selective acquisitions alongside organic growth. Central to this is TIAA Insight, the group's proprietary AI technology, which management believes can create value beyond its existing operations as the company enters what it calls an 'ambitious new chapter'.
