Investing.com – British shares fell at the close on Tuesday; Sector drop, pushing indices down.

At the close in London, it was down 0.42%.

Best value for a session in Cannes United Utilities Group PLC share (LON) up 2.75% or 24.40 points to 910.80 points at the close. Follow him Severn Trent PLC (LON :), which advanced 2.73%, 61.0 points to close at 2295.0, and Bunzel PLC (LON :), which increased by 2.44%, 56.0 points, to close at 2,353.0 points.

At the bottom of the index was Tui AG (LON :), which fell 6.11%, or 23.10 points, to close at 354.90. Meanwhile, Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC (LON 🙂 fell 5.90%, 6.60 points, and closed at 105.30, while Carnival PLC (LON 🙂 lost 5.57%, 92 and 5 points, and closed at 1567.5.

The red numbers beat the green numbers on the London Stock Exchange by a margin of 1419 to 821, and 207 were flat.

Gold futures for April delivery fell 0.71%, or 12.30, to $ 1.725.80 an ounce. Regarding other commodities, crude oil futures for May delivery fell 6.79% or $ 4.18 to settle at $ 57.38 a barrel, while Brent crude oil futures for May delivery fell 0.10%, $ 0.06, to $ 60.32 a barrel.

The GBP / USD was up 0.03% to 1.3755, while EUR / GBP was up 0.02% to 0.8616.

The dollar index rose 0.66% to 92.350.
