Investing.com – British shares closed lower on Wednesday; The decline in , sectors pushed the indices down.

At the close in London, it was down 0.86%.

The best value for the session was BAE Systems PLC (LON:) up 2.94% or 22.20 pips to settle at the close at 778.20. It was followed by Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC (LON :), which advanced 2.35% or 2.04 points to close at 88.73, and Center PLC (LON 🙂 that rose 1.72% or 1.36 points to end the session at 80.54.

At the bottom of the index was Flutter Entertainment PLC (LON :), which fell 4.90%, or 478.00 points, to close at 9.00. national network PLC (LON 🙂 For its part, cut 4.27%, 50.00 points, and closed at 1.00, while St. James’s Place PLC (LON:): 3.59%, 46.50 points, until it finished at 1.00.

The Reds beat the Greens on the London Stock Exchange by 1059 to 729, with 501 closing flat.

GBP/USD fell 0.95% to 1.25, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.15% to 0.85.

The dollar index rose 0.83% to 102.61.
