Investing.com – British shares rose at the close on Monday; Gains in sectors, pushed indexes higher.
At the close in London it added 0.25%.
The best stock for the session was AVEVA Group PLC (LON:), up 4.03% or 98.00 points to settle at 2.00 at the close. It was followed by Flutter Entertainment PLC (LON :), which advanced 3.93%, 344.00 points to close at 9.00, and rightmove PLC (LON:) which rose 3.47% or 22.00 points to end the session at 657.00.
To the tail of the cursor is over Standard Chartered PLC (LON:) which fell 1.69% or 8.60 points to close at 501.20. Rio Tinto On its part, PLC (LON:) stock decreased 1.49% and 93.00 points and closed at 6.00 while revive PLC (LON 🙂 lost 1.48% or 6.60 pips to close at 438.00.
The Greens beat Red on the London Stock Exchange by 1152 to 802, with 426 closing flat.
Gold futures for June delivery rose 0.43%, or 8.25, at $1.00 an ounce. Among other commodities, crude oil futures for May delivery rose 2.56%, or $2.54, to settle at $101.81 a barrel, while Brent crude futures for June delivery rose 1.93%, 2.01 to $106.40 a barrel.
GBP/USD settled down 0.06% to 1.31, while EUR/GBP was down 0.63% at 0.84.
The dollar index rose 0.38% to 99.00.
