Investing.com – The UK Stock Exchange closed higher on Thursday; Sector gains, indexes lead higher.
At the close in London it added 0.68%.
Among the leading stocks today in the session was Carnival PLC (LON :), which increased its value by 4.74%, or 75.8 points, and traded at 1,675.4 at the close. It was followed by EasyJet PLC (LON 🙂 which rose 4.69%, 45.30 points to close at 1,011.50, then Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust PLC (LON 🙂 which rose 3.69% 44 and 50 points until the session closed at 1,251.50.
At the bottom of the index was BAE Systems PLC (LON :), which fell 5.03%, or 26.50 points, to close at 499.90. Fresnelo Meanwhile, PLC (LON 🙂 share fell 2.22%, 20.60 points, and closed at 908.60, while Report PLC share (LON:) lost 2.06%, 11.60 points, ending at 552.60.
The green numbers outnumbered the reds on the London Stock Exchange by 1531 to 715, and it was a constant 197.
Gold futures for June delivery fell 0.79%, or 14.15, to $ 1,778.95 an ounce. Regarding other commodities, crude oil futures for June delivery rose 0.28% or $ 0.17 to settle at $ 61.52 a barrel, while Brent crude for June delivery rose 0.28%, 0.23%, and $ 0.15 a barrel.
The GBP / USD was down 0.57% to 1.3849, while EUR / GBP was up 0.42% to 0.8674.
The dollar index rose 0.18% to 91.293.
