They denounce the intervention of an American entity in El Salvador

SAN SALVADOR, Sept. 14 (Prince Latina) The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is looking for partners in El Salvador to advance Washington’s policy of intervention in the country, activists from this Central American country estimated today on social networks.

Supposedly an “independent” federal entity responsible for planning and managing economic and humanitarian aid in the world, it’s the image that is being sold, but here many Salvadorans see it as a screen to promote unrest against the government.

The tweets are very eloquent. “Attention, organizations. Salvadorans! Do you want to work with USAID #ElSalvador? It’s your chance! We are looking for #transparent ideas”, etc. are messages that announce access to funds to implement project proposals on “important issues”.

The second goal set by USAID is transparency, accountability, compliance with anti-corruption laws, participation, and citizen oversight for managing public funds.

There was no shortage of answers from local tweeters who describe this “agency” as corrupt, and it helps the corrupt.

Another noted as Mauricio RamirezMoris in response to USAIDES: “They are in a hurry, and they need to start working against the Nayib Bukele government tomorrow, September 15th.” But the user noted that they will not stop us.

For his part, Walter @WalterHSalvador asks: Public money? Does USAID manage the country’s public funds? Or did they refer to their money? How long has USAID been an auditor? He said it was an intrusion for me.

Others went further in their assessment of the situation when they crossed paths in their response such as Kathy J. “I think there is an urgent need for a law that prohibits interfering with the giving of money to rioters,” while others are in favor of passing a law on foreign agents.

Tweets abound, some in favor and many against, some even calling on the government to ban USAID’s work and pointing out that this is interference in any country in the world. Others point out that as a global promoter of US foreign policy goals, the agency must be reined in by the government.
