The UK will invest in modernizing its airspace

The UK’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has said it has launched its next round of funding to support airspace modernization projects across the country.

He explained that the modernization of the airspace is necessary to ensure that the invisible part of the UK’s national infrastructure is fit for purpose. The Airspace Modernization Support Fund (ASF) will provide much-needed assistance to achieve this goal.

ASF will provide financial support to eligible projects intended to support the ambitions of the airspace modernization strategy, helping to achieve faster, quieter and cleaner travel, as well as creating more capacity for the benefit of those who use and use it. via UK airspace.

Previous projects funded by ASF include those related to aircraft noise reduction, electronic vision and improvement of flight information panels.

The Fund provides organizations with the opportunity to apply for financial assistance that cannot be funded by other means. It is open to organizations in the UK aviation sector that are actively involved in the modernization of UK airspace.

The call for applications will open from 1 to 31 March 2023. A further call for proposals will open at a later date.
