The Balearic Islands is the main destination of tourists in May, with 23.4% of the total, for a total of 1.6 million, up 328.1% from May 2021. It is followed by Catalonia (21.0%) and Andalusia (14.9%). The main countries of origin of tourists from the Balearic Islands community are Germany (33.2% of the total) and the United Kingdom (29.4%). The number of tourists visiting Catalonia increased by 482.7% and reached about 1.5 million. 23.6% from France and 11.5% from the United Kingdom.
