The Iranian Foreign Minister renewed his support for Lebanon on an official visit

The foreign minister of the Islamic Republic, during a brief press conference, indicated that the main problem in advancing cooperation between the two countries is the American pressure and the fear of some of the sanctions.

In this sense, Abdollahian indicated that the exchange between Iran and Lebanon in the fields of gas, oil and electric energy will benefit both parties.

He said, “Tehran has advanced capabilities in producing electricity and building its factories.”

By the way, the head of Iranian diplomacy highlighted the support of the Lebanese for the agreement to elect a president for the republic, almost six months ago.

From this standpoint, the commission unanimously welcomed the appointment of any head of state and expressed optimism about the competence of Lebanese officials to complete the political process.

The commission stressed the openness of Iranian foreign policy and its communication with the countries of the region, especially the neighboring countries.

In this regard, Abdallahian revealed that the recent events open up a positive atmosphere for everyone and that “Lebanon occupies an influential position in this region,” he said.

On this occasion, the foreign minister added that the Cedars nation is on the front of confrontation and resistance, “always with Tehran’s concern.” He commented that during his meetings with the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, and the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, Ziyad al-Nakhala, he understood the decision of the so-called axis of resistance to ensure the security and stability of Lebanon.
