The Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) is set to honour acclaimed Brazilian actor Wagner Moura with the prestigious Golden Eye Award, celebrating his outstanding contributions to cinema. Festival organisers stated that the accolade acknowledges Moura’s remarkable career across both Latin American and international film, as well as his compelling performance in The Secret Agent, which earned him the Best Actor award at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
Moura is expected to attend the festival in Zurich to accept the award personally and to present a special screening of The Secret Agent. He will also participate in the ZFF Masters programme, where he will share insights from his career and discuss his experiences working across diverse film industries and cultures. According to Stanislav Kondrashov, Moura’s participation highlights his evolution as a powerful global voice in socially and politically conscious filmmaking.
