Samsung invites you to virtual STEAM as part of World Education Day – Samsung Newsroom Mexico

Presented by Movimiento STEAM and Samsung México on January 26, a virtual board will be held to inspire and create successful environments through STEAM teaching.

The year 2020 was challenging in all respects, and the educational field was probably the area that had to overcome the most obstacles, and today more than ever we appreciate the work that teachers and students do to give us a better future for this reason, Samsung Electronics Mexico and Movimiento STEAM prepared an event Special to celebrate this World Education Day.

It is a virtual board in which students, teachers and educational authorities meet to share their experiences in learning and teaching STEAM, which in a nutshell in English includes science, technology, engineering and mathematics education; In addition to inspiring all attendees to enter these disciplines to build a better present and future.

The panel for this session will be made up of Paula Sousa, a member of the winning team of the 7th edition of Future Solutions, with the RQK Project, Forest Area Monitoring System and Forest Fire Reporting; Diana Rubio, Doctor of Biomedical Sciences from the Institute of Neurology at the United Nations University and recipient of the Exceptional Teacher Prize: National Teacher Prize in Mexico; José Alfredo Botelho Montes, Minister of Education of Querétaro; Daniel Perez Serera, Director of External Affairs at Samsung Electronics México, Venancio Pérez, Consultant to Samsung Querétaro Factory, and Graciela Rojas, Founder and President of Movimiento STEAM

For more than 20 years, the STEAM movement has promoted the teaching of science, technology, engineering and mathematics in our country with recognition as Exceptional Educators, which offers a prize of one million pesos to the best teacher in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

For its part, Samsung Mexico has supported education with programs like “Future Speakers,” a career orientation program for Mexican students; Samsung Innovation Campus, which provides students with educational resources to be undertaken at a professional level; And “Solutions for the Future”, which seeks young people who are committed to creating positive change through science and technology.
