Lavrov: Operation in Ukraine contributes to liberation from the yoke of the West

Moscow-. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced in an interview published today that his country’s military operation in Ukraine contributes to liberating the world from the neo-colonial yoke of the West linked to racism and the exclusivity complex.

Speaking to Xinhua, the Russian Foreign Minister said that attempts by Washington and the countries in its orbit to obstruct the course of history and solve its problems at the expense of others are doomed to failure.

According to the senior official, today’s multipolarity means that the world has many decision-making centers. “Everyone has real freedom to choose the path of development and to participate in integration processes, among other things,” he said.

But he said that the Western camp is trying to crush those countries that practice an independent domestic and foreign policy in the harshest way.

And not only for Russia. And we see how they impose the thinking of the bloc in the Asia-Pacific region,” the head of Russian diplomacy denounced.

β€œIn the style of the old Monroe Doctrine, the United States is trying to dictate to Latin America the criteria to be followed (…) The constant pressure on Belarus is framed in the same vein. The list is long,” he said.

In another part of the interview, the Russian foreign minister urged the United States and the rest of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to stop delivering weapons to the Kyiv government, if they really wanted a solution to the Ukraine crisis. .

Noting that the Ukrainian population does not need Stinger and Javelin missiles, but solutions to urgent humanitarian issues, he called on the authorities of that country to stop their “cynical provocations, especially in the information sphere.”

He also denounced the Ukrainian forces’ use of civilians as human shields, the “barbaric bombardment of cities”, and the humiliation of Russian captives “with animal cruelty”.

He warned that Kyiv, with the help of its sponsors and the Western media they control, blamed the Russian military for its abuses.

The Russian foreign minister called on Washington and its allies to stop covering up the crimes of the Ukrainian regime, otherwise they will have to respond to their complicity in the horrific crimes.

Russia launched a military operation for the “disarmament and disarmament” of Ukraine on February 24, in response to requests for assistance from the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk republics to defend themselves against the increasingly intense attacks by Ukrainian forces.
