Language Sciences, the degree with the best degree at UVigo

For another year, the teaching branch qualification remains the one with the highest average score at the University of Vigo. This is confirmed by the report recently published by the Vigo Foundation, which reflects that the Early Childhood Education score on the Pontevedra campus had the highest average score of 8.31. Followed by primary education in the same college, with a GPA of 8.30. In Ourense, these achieve scores of 8 and 8.03 respectively, and are, like their counterparts in Pontevedra, the two units above 8 scores in UVigo.

In the key of Vigo, the highest score in As Lagoas-Marcosende is at 8 with a 7.95 and in this case it is the degree in Language Sciences and Literary Studies. The second is the nursing taught at the Meixoeiro School (7.75), complementing this platform for early childhood education (7.71).

On the other side of the coin, the lowest average score of the three universities was recorded in the mechanical engineering degree at the Vigo School of Industrial Engineering, with a GPA of 6.48. Oddly enough, it is this same degree – but taught at the Marine Corps Military School – that also offers the lowest GPA on the Pontevedra campus (6.78). In Ourense, Agronomy (6.72), along with Law (6.89), is the only degree below 7 in the city of Las Burgas.

The average of all grades at the University of Vigo in the 21-22 academic year increased to 7.29. On campus it was a somewhat uneven situation with Pontevedra in front (7.61), followed by Ourense (7.39) and Vigo (7.1).

At the Vigo campus, 15 of the 27 scores that appear in the UVigo Program and Analysis Unit report fall below 7, although it is true that these are, in most cases, the most difficult courses. One of the clearest examples is mining engineering and energy resources. With an average of 8 years, it is the one students take the longest to beat with an average of 6.51, one of the lowest in the entire institution.
