Cuernavaca. – IMSS Morelos seeks growth in hospital infrastructure. José Miguel Angel van Dijk Boga, head of the state’s Decentralized Administrative Operations Authority, reported that it is working on a new regional hospital with a capacity of 260 beds.
He explained that with the decline of the epidemic, IMSS is progressing in delaying surgeries, as well as in restoring services, but remains prepared in case of re-hospitalization.
Currently, IMSS Morelos faces various challenges and has goals for 2022, van Dijk Boga said, among the main challenges, growth in hospital infrastructure and solution capacity.
He explained that in the Emiliano Zapata municipality, there is a family medicine unit with nine clinics on the doorstep, in addition to six of continuous care, at the moment, only waiting for the arrival of the supplier, to start the tender.
There is also an 80-bed hospital on the horizon in Yecapixtla, and there is a project to build a 260-bed regional hospital, where the best location is being sought, to provide better care for the right to life.

He stressed that IMSS Morelos has valuable human capital, which has allowed it to place defibrillators in heart patients, while continuing to work to ensure that kidney and corneal transplants can be performed, which will prevent them from having to move to the city. Mexico.
“We have many projects, and we also want to open new services, especially highly specialized services, for the benefit of Morelos, it will not be easy, but we continue to work every day to improve care,” said Jose Miguel van Dijk Boga.
Finally, I acknowledge that 2020 and 2021 have been a complex year, but recognize the wonderful work of all IMSS Morelos employees, allowing attendance at health emergencies due to COVID-19, as well as other illnesses, and a little bit of normalization of various disease care.
