Technology has brought good to humanity ever since the unprecedented progress began, and we can notice this when we look around and see that technology is almost everywhere.

From machines that help us do hard work, to devices that you can use to get all the information in the world in one place, to software that makes technology and all its applications possible.

There is an internet search system that is very well known all over the world for its efficiency and simple way of use, and of course we are talking about the search engine par excellence, Google.

Google is a technology company that has been expanding its horizons in recent years, but without a doubt, its flagship product and the one that started it all is the internet search engine of the same name, Google.

This search platform has seen many updates since its founding in the 1990s, which have included new programming and applications, each more distinctive than the last.

Currently, Google offers many applications from the same platform, from calendars, email, maps, translators, video conferencing, among many other options to carry out a wide range of activities.

However, in recent years, Google has announced the withdrawal of some of its applications, including the Google URL Shortener, a tool that could help users shorten web page URLs.

The Google URL Shortener app has been inactive since 2019, but all links that passed through the app are still available and continue to work, a situation that Google recently announced will stop happening.

It turns out that Google’s next step is to disable all URLs shortened by Google URL Shortener, a situation that can cause many errors on many pages and ads.

For this reason, Google has officially announced that these shortened URLs will stop working on August 25, 2025, which is just over a year away, at which time users are expected to be able to take their actions.

Soon, Google will provide users with a platform where they can check if a particular URL is not working, meaning it will be announced in advance when the shortened link is not working.

So, if you are one of the users who used Google URL Shortener, we suggest you change the app, because by August next year the shortened link you are using will definitely not be available.
