Faculty of Chemical Sciences with a broad educational offer

With the aim of training specialized specialists in different fields of chemistry, the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the University of Juarez, Durango State, expands its educational offering with master’s and doctoral degrees.

According to FCQ Head of Graduate Studies and Research Sara Alejandra Zavala-Betancourt, she has a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology, a Master of Science in Nanotechnology and Materials Chemistry, as well as a Masters in Molecular and Cellular Biology. It is currently offered by the Faculty of Chemical Sciences, but the latter is being restructured, as well as a new interdisciplinary Ph.D. for those interested in chemical sciences, with lines towards molecular biology and materials.

On the other hand, he said, it is important to note that the Faculty of Chemical Sciences has a high proportion of faculty members within the National System of Investigators (SNI), and is in fact the academic unit of UJED with most members of this select organism.

Finally, Zavala Betancourt realizes that there is great support from the central administration headed by Rector Rubén Solís Rios, as well as from the Director of Graduate Studies and Research, Jaime Fernández Escarzaga, who have maintained good communication with researchers from FCQ and are aware of everything that is being worked on in the academic unit .
